The page contains the lyrics and English translation of the song "Revoluzzer" by Slime.
Lyrics
War einmal ein Revoluzzer,
im Zivilstand Lampenputzer;
ging im Revoluzzerschritt
mit den Revoluzzern mit.
Und er schrie: «Ich revolüzze!»
Und die Revoluzzermütze
schob er auf das linke Ohr,
kam sich höchst gefährlich vor.
Doch die Revoluzzer schritten
mitten in der Straßen Mitten,
wo er sonsten unverdrutzt
alle Gaslaternen putzt.
Sie vom Boden zu entfernen,
rupfte man die Gaslaternen
aus dem Straßenpflaster aus,
zwecks des Barrikadenbaus.
Aber unser Revoluzzer
schrie: «Ich bin der Lampenputzer
dieses guten Leuchtelichts.
Bitte, bitte, tut ihm nichts!
Wenn wir ihn' das Licht ausdrehen,
kann kein Bürger nichts mehr sehen.
Laßt die Lampen stehn, ich bitt! -
Denn sonst spiel ich nicht mehr mit!"
Doch die Revoluzzer lachten,
und die Gaslaternen krachten,
und der Lampenputzer schlich
fort und weinte bitterlich.
Dann ist er zu Haus geblieben
und hat dort ein Buch geschrieben:
nämlich, wie man revoluzzt
und dabei doch Lampen putzt.

Lyrics translation
Was once a Revoluzzer,
in the civil booth lamp cleaner;
went in the revolutionary step
with the Revoluzzern with.
And he shouted: "I revolüzze!»
And the revolutionary hat
he pushed on the left ear,
felt very dangerous.
But the revolutionary steps
in the middle of the streets,
where he otherwise unabashed
cleaning all gas lanterns.
Remove them from the ground,
you plucked the gas lanterns
from the pavement,
purpose of barricade construction.
But our revolutionary
shouted: "I am the lamp-cleaner
this good luminous light.
Please, please, don't hurt him!
When we turn him out the light,
no citizen can see anything anymore.
Let the lamps stand, I pray! -
Because otherwise I do not play anymore!"
But the revolutionaries laughed,
and the gas lanterns crashed,
and the lamp-cleaner to mediation
away and wept bitterly.
Then he stayed at home
and wrote a book there:
namely, how to revoluzzt
and yet cleaning lamps.
