Miss Italia è stata eletta, la giuria, rappresentata da uomini di lettere, artisti, impresari, si fa attenta, perché l’esame è più
laborioso e complesso di quanto si creda.
Ileana Mammarella, rappresentante l’Abruzzo,
Letizia Rega, anche lei l’Abruzzo,
la romana Maria Gheffai… gli è stato affidato il soprannome
di «gattina».
Un’altra romana, la signorina Paolucci, rappresentante il Lazio,
un’ultima occhiata alla pettinatura, un ultimo sorriso allo specchio
prima di quello finale ai giudici; e poi l’incoronazione di quella che la giuria avrà decretato la più bella d’Italia. Un nuovo volto si è
aggiunto alla collezione già numerosa di fanciulle cui la giviemme
(organizzazione del concorso) ha, come il re della favola antica,
cambiato il corso della vita con un tocco magico di bacchetta,
sfogliando le riviste della raccolta dell’archivio giemme, vediamo
