I sentia bramar la tempesta,
i els pagesos fugir esverats,
botzinant perquè la tramuntana
els espolsa la closa i el blat.
Quan a casa faltava una cosa,
posant-me bufanda i abric,
me n’anava corrents a buscar-la
i tornava content i arraulit.
Quan estava tot sol a la cambra
i sentia els arbres cruixir
i la gent que passava esverada,
m’agafava fort al coixí.
