-Dije citando orgulloso,
con voz alta y bien templada,
mi crítica elaborada
a ese saber tan dudoso.
Y el rufián me estuvo viendo
desde distintas posturas
siempre contra la pared;
se me acercó cauteloso y exclamó:
-¡Otra vez usted!
Pensé que me conocía
y para salir del apuro
dije desconfiadamente:
-Vaya… no esté tan seguro.
Él me miró de reojo
y se acercó murmurando,
como el que recuerda un rostro
mientras va refunfuñando.
-Cara angosta, nariz larga,
criticando diestramente,
su saber… innecesario.
El granuja pegó un brinco
al recibir mi estocada,
más luego puso el semblante
de a quien no le asusta nada
y dijo distraídamente…
-Ya escuché su comentario
tonto, pero insatisfecho;
le aclararé algunas cosas
para su bien y provecho.
Como piense que el saber
se encierra en una tonada,
deja la clara impresión
de que no ha entendido nada;
no entiende lo que le dicen
y aún quiere que digan más.
Al mirar su absurdo caso
me permite recordar
el cuento de la oreja chica
que junto a la oreja larga
nunca aprecia lo que escucha,
por llorar lo que le falta.
Pero no se desanime,
sé de una forma segura
en que aprenda de mi ciencia
su necia cabeza dura.
Oigan el cuento que empieza
y que escuchen con atención
las jóvenes casaderas…
A una fiesta asistí yo,
donde el novio de la novia,
quiero decir, el marido
de la novia desposada,
era el hijo de un tío mío
de piel azul,
ni más, ni menos.
El tío tenía un castillito
que heredó de unos abuelos
que murieron hace mucho,
cuando él era principito.
Pero volviendo a la fiesta,
quiero decir
que invitado no asistí,
por vergüenza e hidalguía.
De tal suerte, me vestí
de malandrín, por bailar,
confundido con la plebe,
poco más de cuatro días
que se hubo de festejar.
Y de este modo el sinvergüenza,
recobrando la guitarra,
cantó la canción más necia
que ha escuchado aquel
que aprecia la música acompañada.
Y que con ademán gentil
le dedicó a las doncellas,
¡Sí!, Las bodas de Erefil,
para que aprendieran de ellas.

Miscellaneous
Where The One Who Knows Hides
The bell tower was adorned,
but he wasn't fooling me.
when that was the end of his singing.
I observed that it did not count much,
because it ended mysteriously
when I was going to say what I knew
and to avoid being longer,
I was closing the litany.
- He said he knows again.,
but he hasn't said what he knows.
and that's so long
that doesn't fit in so much prose.
- I said quoting proud,
with a loud and well-tempered voice,
my elaborate critique
to that dubious knowledge.
And the thug was watching me
from different postures
always against the wall;
he approached me cautiously and exclaimed:
- You again!
I thought you knew me.
and to get out of trouble
I said suspiciously:
- Well ... don't be so sure.
He looked at me with a laugh.
and he came up murmuring,
like the one who remembers a face
as he grunts.
- Narrow face, long nose,
the same, no doubt.
How did he say what he said
that among the people you shield yourself?-,
he asked and I repeated…
- What do you say you know again?,
but he didn't say what he knows.,
and that's so long
that I don't fit in a certain prose.
I mean, and for him to listen to me
by way of comment,
criticizing dexterously,
your knowledge ... unnecessary.
The Rascal jumped
upon receiving my lunge,
more then put the countenance
who's not afraid of anything
and he said absent-mindedly…
- I heard your comment.
silly, but dissatisfied;
I'll clarify a few things for you.
for your own good and profit.
How do you think knowledge
it locks in a tonada,
leaves a clear impression
that he didn't understand anything;
he doesn't understand what they're saying to him.
and he still wants them to say more.
Looking at his absurd case
allows me to remember
the tale of the girl ear
that next to the long ear
he never appreciates what he hears,
for crying what he lacks.
But do not be discouraged,
I know for sure
to learn from my science
your stupid hard head.
Listen to the story that begins
and listen carefully
young married women…
I attended a party.,
where the bride's boyfriend,
I mean, the husband
of the bride betrothed,
he was the son of an uncle of mine.
blue-skinned,
no more, no less.
The guy had a little castle.
inherited from grandparents
who died long ago,
when he was little prince.
But back to the party,
I mean
what a guest I didn't attend,
shame and Hidalgo.
So lucky, I got dressed
of a rascal, for dancing,
confused with the commoner,
just over four days
that there was a celebration.
And so the scoundrel,
recovering the guitar,
he sang the most foolish song
who has heard that
who appreciates the music accompanied.
And that with gentle ademão
he dedicated it to the maidens,
Yes!, Erefil's weddings,
so they could learn from them.
