Lyrics
Lyrics translation
That strange illusion of touching himself again
Despite the anguish and the weather
He walked them again with the scent of the sea
And an aroma of incense sticks
Pedro played that record of Brel
John closed the small windows
They remembered their yesterday, they remembered the honey
And until dawn they gave their souls…
Colorful birds, in the fields
Who keeps the Lord
Peter invents a faith, almost in flight from Love
He's been living by his side for so long
He knows they're leaving, he knows they're coming.
Almanacs with borrowed days
John prefers to die to his skin
And washes his feet desolate
Because it's hard to know there's nothing to do
And there's a world looking the other way…
Colorful birdies in the fields
Who keeps the Lord
When they both leave, an angel from the sun comes down.
And winter becomes summer
They are two men who are dying of love
To dream, for which we do not dream
That he who dies of love makes the world better
And there are millions dying and loving…
Colorful birdies in the fields
Who keeps the Lord
I knew the story from one of them. Both are terminally ill
AIDS and a while ago they were separated, but upon learning of the evil they suffered
they met again and decided to live together again. Today they collaborate and work
a foundation dedicated to alleviating the suffering of those who suffer
this terrible disease and are discriminated against by society and even by their
own families
This song is a tribute to that Love able to contain and make them
solidarity with others
