Ты вновь Молодых повстречаешь богов

When we were young we were gods —
We didn't care what happened to us!
And we didn't doubt what we were doing,
All the doors — one after another — opened!
We flew to the sun, risking burning,
At the risk of becoming famous, they started singing!
We walked boldly on the edge —
And someone snapped, thinking they were flying…
And life used to throw us on the rocks;
And death us, sometimes, in the night guarded…
But the morning was coming into its own again —
Dispelling the veil and evil spirits!
Love — in rags-tore our hearts,
And hatred burned our souls — into coals!
We were deaf to punishments and punishments
And we could swim against the currents!

And the Wind of freedom is full of your chest, —
You go out of the house, disappearing into the night, —
