Розу по пути встретил я

Роза, наклонившись слегка,
Свой бутон раскрыв широко,
Тихо прошептала мне тогда:
«Не найти тебе Сулико.»
Среди роз душистых, в тени
Звонко песни пел соловей.
Я у соловья тогда спросил,
Сулико где он утаил.
Соловейко вдруг замолчал,
Розу клювом тронул легко:
«Ты нашел, что ищешь», он сказал,
«Вечным сном здесь спит Сулико.»

Suliko
I was looking for a nice grave,
But it's not easy to find.
For a long time I languished and suffered.
Where are you, my Suliko?
I met rose on the way
In search of going far.
"Rose, pity me, comfort me,
Do you have a Suliko?"
Rose, leaning slightly,
Its Bud opens wide,
She whispered softly to me then:
"You can't find Suliko."
Among the fragrant roses, in the shade
