Dies ist die Ballade von Bodo, genannt der Rote, Junge aus gutem Hause,
der in die linke Bewegung eintrat, und was aus ihm geworden ist:
Ziemlich großer und heller Typ.
Geht bißchen schief, so mit Hahnentritt.
War schon im ersten Semester voll da.
Redet sehr schnell und denkt auch schnell mit.
Hatte immer paar Leute um sich,
sprachen wie er und gingen auch schief,
schleppten ihm Bücher, lasen für ihn.
Später nannte er das «Kollektiv».
Ist von zu Hause nicht gerade arm.
Überschätzte das aber nie.
Und weil er zu Recht nicht zufrieden war,
wurd er von allen schon ziemlich früh
Bodo genannt, der Rote.
Dann brach der Sturm auf der Uni los.
Bodo mit Bart spielte Megaphon.
Straßenkampf machte sein Kollektiv.
Er koordinierte am Telefon.
Dann wars bloß ein Sturm im Wasserglas,
und Bodo ging auf den Mao-Trip.
Das heißt, er schickte sein Kollektiv
für 'n paar Monate in 'nen Betrieb.
Machte über das Ganze ein Buch
frech und mit Witz, aber sehr radikal.
Allein der Arbeitgeberverband
kaufte das Buch gleich fünftausendmal
von Bodo, genannt der Rote.
Mädchen kamen und Bodo war high,
Guru mit Stirnband, Hemd bis zum Knie.
Zog in ein Haus mit dem Kollektiv,
nannte das die «Bodo-Family».
Machten Musik und tanzten und bumsten,
schluckten und fixten ziemlich herum.
Bodo machte daraus dann den Film
«Drogenmißbrauch» fürs dritte Programm.
Ging für ein Jahr in die USA
als Friedrich-Ebert-Stipendiat.
Als er zurückkam, wußte er viel,
was man ihm auch angesehen hat,
dem Bodo, genannt der Rote.
Schmiß sich sofort auf Basisarbeit
in einem Obdachlosenasyl.
Hatte wieder paar Typen dabei.
Agitierten und soffen auch viel.
Steckten zwei alte Baracken in Brand,
paar Obdachlose kamen in' Knast.
Die anderen fielen über sie her,
erschlugen die Leute von Bodo fast.
Bodo nannte das «Praktikum
für angewandte Soziologie.»
Schrieb dann auch seine Doktorarbeit,
Titel «Die Randgruppenstrategie»
von Bodo, genannt der Rote.
So hatte Bodo in sehr kurzer Zeit
klargemacht, was er kann, was er ist:
Führungskraft mit viel Phantasie,
der Konflikte erkennt und auch löst.
Und so machte der Polizeipräsident
einer sozialdemokratischen Stadt
ihn zum persönlichen Assistent,
was Bodo dann auch befriedigt hat.
Und nun wäre ja ganz schön, wenn man singen könnt,
der war gestorben — oder anderswie.
Ist aber nicht. Der lebt heute noch,
dieses Anpassungsgenie,
als Bodo, genannt der Rote.
