В луже, там, где дом многоэтажный,

Флагом всполохнет ей или дымом
И гудит-дудит во все гудки.
А она опять нарочно мимо,
Прячется в кудряшки-завитки.
Рвется, будто пес, порвав ошейник,
Голос, осмелевший от темна.
Полночь. И мы терпим с ним крушенье
В луже, где распрыгалась она.
К трапу мне! И прямо на восходе
Прочь уплыть в далекую страну!
Надо бы. Да только пароходик
Ходит вдаль от берега ко дну.
А потом, когда просохнут лужи,
И наступит зной, того гляди,
Станет он сухим листком ненужным
И на первом ветре улетит.
Близко ли, далеко ли — неважно.
Где его никто не узнает…
