Солнце согрело лицо, как-то легонько.
Там, где стоял старый дом, только руины.
Рядом, согнувшись, старик, тронул седины.

Старое вынув ружьё, тихо побрёл он,

Танки тянулись по ней в линию строго.
Встал на дороге старик, вскинув винтовку,
Руки держали её как-то неловко.
Парень какой-то кричал, вылез из танка,
И разрядил автомат, весь, без остатка.
Танки спешили вперёд в линию строго,
Солнце за гору ушло, вьётся дорога.
Сколько ещё впереди мирных околиц,
Кто-то сказал из солдат: «Чокнутый горец».

The wind will come down from the mountains, so slowly.
The sun warmed my face, just a little.
Where the old house stood, only ruins.
